Orange Stockholm Smartphone comes with £60 credit, costs £49

Isme, part of the Shop Direct group, is offering a smartphone, the Orange Stockholm, for £49. The device comes with £60 credit (users will receive £10 every month for six consecutive months). This is a rebadged Huawei Ascend Y100 smartphone which is also known as the U8185.

This is an Android handset, similar to the one on sale for £24.99 at O2. The device runs on a single core Qualcomm MSM7227A system on chip clocked at 800MHz with 256MB of RAM, a microSD card slot, a 3.2-megapixle camera, a 2.8in 320 x 240 pixel capacitive display, Android 2.2 Froyo, Wi-Fi, 3G, an FM radio, Bluetooth and up to four hours talk time.

Since this is part of Orange’s Ready Deal, you also get Orange Extras like Magic Numbers and Orange Wednesdays. In theory, you should be able to choose which “animal” plan you want to stick to; doing so would allow you to get some worthy goodies as well.

Choosing Monkey for example gives you 400 texts and free music, Dolphin, 400 texts and 100MB data, Canary, 100 minutes and 100 texts (in the weekend of evening) and Camel, 60 international minutes.
