£420 Fujitsu Lifebook UH572: Surely the cheapest Ultrabook in the UK

The Fujitsu LifeBook UH572 has been regularly listed in TechDeals as one of the cheapest Ultrabooks on the market. It is now available for as little as £420 after a £100 cashback, a deal that ends after the 31 March 2013.

This Ultrabook has a very appealing design and weighs a mere 1.6Kg. It features an Intel Core processor, a dual-core i5-3317UM model clocked at 1.7GHz with 3MB cache and turbo boosting to 2.4GHz (based on Ivy Bridge architecture).

There’s also 4GB of RAM, a 32GB SSD, 500GB hard disk drive, a 13.3in 1,366 x 768 display, Windows 7 Home Premium, an Intel HD 4000 Graphics solution with 128MB shared memory, Wi-Fi, two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port, Bluetooth 4.0, a card reader, a webcam, up to seven hours battery life and a 12 months warranty.

You can upgrade the latter to a three year collect and return warranty including accidental damage and theft for £150. Note that you also get free copies of BullGuard Internet Security and WebRoot Anti-virus.

Other competing Ultrabooks include the Novatech nFinity N1409 (which doesn’t come with an operating system though), the Samsung Series 5 Ultrabook (which costs a lot more but comes with a free tablet) and the HP Envy 4-1010SA.
