£239 Lenovo M71e SFF ThinkCentre computer

Lenovo is selling the M71e SFF ThinkCentre computer for as little as £239, a price that excludes delivery, down from £358. This is a superb price for a desktop PC, one that is not only brand new (and comes with a one-year warranty) but also one that comes with everything except a monitor.

The M71e has a very distinct shape with an odd-looking facia adorned by air fins and a black charcoal finish. Inside is an Intel Core i3-2120 CPU clocked at 3.3GHz with 3MB L3 cache, 2GB of RAM, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD, a 250GB hard disk drive clocked at 7200PRM, a DVD writer, an Ethernet port plus a fair few USB, HDMI and VGA ports.

Other features include Windows 7 Home Premium, a USB “Preferred Pro” keyboard plus an optical wheel mouse and everything covered by a one year warranty.

The costs of the components and the software license actually exceeds the selling price of that device.

Competitors to the ThinkCentre M71e include the £320 Dell Inspiron 660MT, the Proliant N40L Microserver and the Acer Revo L80, both of which do not come with an operating system.
