The BlackBerry Z10 is selling better than expected, prompting the company to ramp up the device's production, CEO Thorsten Heins said during an interview with the Frankfurter Allegmaine Zeitung.
Despite positive feedback from critics and users alike, some analysts had recently suggested that sales of the Z10 were slowing down, thus raising questions about the company's future.
However, Heins has rubbished those reports.
"We are above our own expectations and our target was thoroughly ambitious," he said. "The fact is, we were surprised by the good reaction and we've increased our production capacity in the meantime."
Heins refrained from disclosing specific sales figure for the Z10, saying instead that the company plans to observe the trend a little bit longer before finally announcing the specific figures.
