Harman Kardon launches Go + Play Wireless Bluetooth speaker

Harman Kardon has announced the launch of Go + Play Wireless (opens in new tab), a portable speaker joining the firm’s existing Go + Play family of stylish speakers and iPod docks.

The speaker offers wireless connectivity via Bluetooth, making it compatible with all Bluetooth-enabled products, including the latest iOS devices. It can also connect to devices through a stereo jack, so wired playback is a possibility as well.

The Go + Play Wireless uses Harman’s proprietary TrueStream technology, which promises to deliver solid Bluetooth sound performance. According to the company, TrueStream uses a process that purports to address the effects of compression on sound quality.

On the hardware front, the Go + Play Wireless boasts a sleek stainless steel design that will be available in black or white. It features two Atlas woofers and two Ridge tweeters for full-spectrum sound. Users can also charge their iPhones, iPads and other devices through the speaker’s USB port.

The Go + Play Wireless will hit UK shelves towards the end of March at a recommended retail price of £279.99.
