The device is refurbished to Sony’s high standards and comes with a 12-months warranty. It has a super slim aluminium chassis that is splash proof. You can change TV channels and adjust your music system thanks to the universal IR remote control.

Technical specifications include a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 4 clocked at 1.3GHz, 1GB of RAM, a 9.4in 1,280 x 800 pixels resolution, 16GB onboard storage, a SD card slot (rather than microSD), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a front facing 1-megapixel camera and a rear 8-megapxiel one and up to 12 hours battery life.

At less than 9mm thick and weighing 570g, it is certainly not a bad purchase. Compared to the Google Nexus 7 which costs around £169, it comes with a microSD card slot, a bigger screen and a rear camera.

That means that you should be able to bump onboard storage capacity to 80GB for under £30.
