Head over to Currys to check out the LG 60PM680T TV which carried a suggested retail price of £1,499 and can now be had for as little as £900, making it one of the cheapest 60in television sets in the country.
This is a smart TV set, which means that it has full access to the web in many formats. There’s an LG App section which allows you to access iPlayer, social networking sites, Skype etc.
The 60PM680T is also DLNA certified and has built-in Wi-Fi. As expected, it is a full HD 60in display, one that also have 3D capabilities. You will need active 3D glasses to make the most out of it and unfortunately, the 60PM680T doesn’t come with any.
Other notable features include a Freeview HD tuner, four HDMI connectors, a 600Hz refresh rate, two 10W speakers, a contrast ratio of 3m:1, SCART, DSub, two USB 2.0 ports, Component/Composite video input and a power consumption of 183W.
LG also bundled in a number of its own enhancements like Triple XD Engine, Clear Voice II plus a noise reduction feature. The 60PM680T has an extremely thin bezel, one of the thinnest of its category. Still, we’re not sure about its silver finish.
