Oracle has rolled out Oracle Social Relationship Management suite, a cloud-based tool that the company claims will help enterprise customers manage and monitor social interactions.
According to the company, the new SRM platform will aggregate the technologies it has amassed through a series of social media and analytics acquisitions in order to boost database management, management and publishing of content pushed onto social media platforms, and social media analytics.
The top-billed features of the new Oracle SRM include: improved workflow and automation, better listening and analytics, real-time engagement and extended language support.
Oracle's vice president of product management for social platform, Erika Brookes, claims that the new SRM platform has been designed to serve alongside other existing Oracle products such as Oracle Fusion CRM, Oracle RightNow Cloud Service, Oracle Applications, and Oracle CRM.
"We've done first-phase integration with Eloqua," Brookes said.
"We're obviously very early there [Oracle announced the acquisition of Eloqua, a marketing automation provider, in December 2012], but I think it's a good indicator of where we're going. The initial integration with Eloqua allows for sharing of your digital footprint or digital DNA," she added.
