Sony Xperia Z now available from £455 SIM Free

The Sony Xperia Z was launched earlier this year at CES and went on preorder only weeks later. Sony’s new flagship smartphone is already available on some excellent deals.

Asda was selling it SIM free for £499 with a free accessories bundle while Amazon was selling it for £500 with a £50 Amazon voucher. Alternatively, users can buy the Sony Xperia Z on T-Mobile for £26 per month on a two year contract as well.

However, the latest deal from MobilePhonesDirect is probably the best one if you’re only looking for the handset on its own. At £455, it is a cracker of a deal and represents a saving of around £100 off the suggested retail price.

As for its main features, these include a 5in 1,920 x 1,080 pixel display powered by Sony Mobile BRAVIA 2 technology, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 SoC clocked at 1.5GHz with 2GB of RAM, 16GB onboard storage with a microSD card slot, Wi-Fi, NFC, a 13-megapixel camera, Bluetooth 4.0, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and a 2,330mAh Li-Ion battery.

It’s worth noting as well that the phone is both waterproof and dustproof. Check out our review of the Sony Xperia Z here.
