Yorkshire-based, BT-owned broadband company, Plusnet, has cut the price of its copper-based unlimited broadband and calls package to £4.99 per month on a one year contract with line rental being as low as £10.49 per month (when paid in full for the year).
The total cost of ownership of the bundle is £185.76 compared to £305.76 for the company’s top of the range offer, the 76mbps fiber package. The ADSL2+ one reaches speeds of up to 16mbps and includes a wireless router, unlimited usage, McAfee security package, free activation and UK-based customer support.
Also included in the bundle is unlimited evening and weekend calls to UK landlines (which includes 0870 and 0845 numbers). Customers will be able to upgrade to unlimited calls to UK landlines as well as 300 anytime minutes to 35 international destinations for £6.
They will have to quote offer12 at check out during the purchase process and after the 12 month period ends, the price will revert back to £9.99. Note that the quoted cost assumes that you like in a Plusnet low-cost area, otherwise you will be paying £7 extra per month.
