You can grab the HTC One from Orange on Panther or Dolphin 41 for as little as £36 on an 18-month contract via Dialaphone, the sister company of Phones4U. That’s a total cost of ownership of £648, which is more than decent for a top-of-the-range smartphone that has just been launched.
Panther includes 600 minutes and 1GB data allowance while Dolphin offers 900 minutes and 250MB data allowance. Both plans also come with unlimited texts, a free HTC Folio flip case (that also acts as a stand) and Orange Swapables. Note that you can upgrade to unlimited minutes for only £100 extra.
The smartphone was announced around a month ago, before MWC. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 SoC clocked at 1.7GHz, that’s a quad-core model with an Adreno 320 GPU.
Other features include 2GB of RAM, 32GB onboard storage (no microSD card slot), a 4.7in display with a 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, a 4.1-megapixel camera with an Ultrapixel sensor, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and a host of HTC-only applications and services (like HTC Zoe).
