HTC One back in stock in UK next week, price drops to £490

A number of retailers have confirmed that the HTC One will be more widely available in the UK on 29 March and onwards. The current restricted availability being blamed on unexpectedly high demand.

The company has issued a statement saying “HTC has seen unprecedented demand for and interest in the new HTC One, and the care taken to design and build it is evidenced in early reviews. The new HTC One will roll out in the UK, Germany and Taiwan next week and across Europe, North America and most of Asia-Pacific before the end of April. We appreciate our customers' patience, and believe that once they have the phone in their hands they will agree that it has been worth the wait.”

Since the device was launched a month ago, the amount of deals, both SIM Free, on pay monthly and on pay as you go, has surged.

The device is available SIM Free from Phones4U for £480 and from Asda for £499 with some interesting goodies. As far as pay monthly offers are concerned, the HTC One is available for as little as £26.33 (albeit on a very light package) without any upfront fee; that’s a total cost of ownership of £632.
