Expansys has put the Sony Xperia SP and the Sony Xperia L on preorder for £340 and £240 respectively; the two devices were launched last week and you can check our hands-on here. Although the retailer doesn’t say when the handsets will be available, an anonymous source told us that it will happen in April (Sony’s official press release mentions Q2 2013).
Both come with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 1GB of RAM, 8GB onboard storage, a microSD card slot, a VGA front facing camera, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, Exmor RS for Mobile and Sony’s Stamina battery technology.
The Xperia SP is 4G compatible and runs on a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960Pro SoC clocked at 1.7GHz. It has a 4.6in display with a 1,280 x 720 pixel resolution, a 2,300mAh battery that can power the handset for up to 10 hours.
As for the Xperia L, it is a bigger version of the Xperia U. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC. The MSM8230 that has two cores and is clocked at 1GHz with a 4in display and a resolution of 854 x 480 pixel.
