Telefonica-owned O2 has an Easter sale going on at the moment and it is selling the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 for as little as £130, that’s a £20 discount off the retail price, ends on 3 April 2013 and excludes a £10 top up credit.
The Ace 2 can be considered as a smaller version of the Samsung Galaxy S2 (or the little brother to the Galaxy S3 Mini). It comes with a 3.8in 800 x 480 pixel PLS display, a dual-core ST Ericsson U8500 system on chip clocked at 800MHz, 768MB of RAM, 4GB onboard storage, a 5-megapixel camera with an LED flash, Samsung’s Motion user interface (otherwise known as TouchWiz 4.0), a microSD card slot, a battery life of up to 7.5 hours, GPS, Wi-Fi, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, HD video recording, Bluetooth 3.0 and a thickness of only 10.5mm.
The Galaxy Ace 2 is possibly one of the better mid-range, sub-£150 smartphone on the market. The fact that it comes with a microSD card slot and 768MB of RAM put it instantly ahead of the Sony Xperia U which lacks both. Check out our review of the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 here.
