The One Plan now available from £17.42 per month with a free smartphone

Affordable Mobiles offers Three’s The One Plan for as little as £17.42 after an automatic cashback of £110 (which is equivalent to five months free out of 24). The two-year contract carries a total cost of ownership of £418, far cheaper than buying it direct from Three.

The plan includes 2,000 minutes, 5,000 texts, unlimited data with free tethering and 5,000 three-to-three minutes. Over and above that you get free Skype calls plus the ability to get unlimited data when you are in mainland Europe for a mere £5 a day (although you do lose the tethering in the process).

The package also includes a free LG Optimus L3 smartphone which is an entry level Android-based model. It is a decent, bog-standard handset with a 3-megapixel camera, a 3.2in 320 x 240 pixel display, a single core SoC clocked at 600MHz, 384MB of RAM, 1GB onboard storage, a microSD card slot and Android 2.3.7 Gingerbread.

It’s worth noting that this would make an excellent substitute for a MiFi as it comes with expandable memory option and can be used as a hotspot with unlimited data allowance. Check out our review of the LG Optimus L3 here.
