You can now get the Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone from Affordable Mobiles, on Three UK, for as little as £18 per month on a two-year contract, that’s a total cost of ownership of £432. The tariff, 3 Essential 500, comes with 500 minutes, 5000 texts and 250MB data (alternatively a slightly more expensive deal (at £20), Ultimate 100, comes with unlimited data but only 100 minutes.
The phone, which has now been superseded by the Samsung Galaxy S4, is now expected to go drop down rapidly in price as the mainstream market becomes more crowded and reports of a Galaxy S4 mini surfaced. The phone itself is still a superb device that still has much to give.
It is powered by a quad-core Exynos 4412 SoC clocked at 1.4GHz which is based on the Cortex-A9 architecture. It features a 4.8in Super AMOLED HD display with a 1,280 x 720 pixel resolution (that uses Pentile technology), an 8-megapixel camera with an LED flash and a front facing 2-megapixel shooter.
