It is likely that HTC will release a non-Facebook home version of the HTC First, which was announced last week, as the HTC M4 (or at least that is apparently its codename).
Interestingly, in theory, since Facebook Home is just an app you should be able to un-install it from your smartphone.
According to a tech website called llabtoofer.com, the device will sport almost the same configuration as the HTC First complete with a camera with an UltraPixel sensor sporting a resolution of 1.6-megapixel.
Expect the M4 to come with a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC clocked at 1.2GHz, the MSM8930, 1GB of RAM, 16GB onboard storage, a 4.3in display with a 1,280 x 720 pixel resolution, Wi-Fi, Android 4.2.2 with HTC Sense UI, GPS+ GLONASS and a similar design to the HTC First.
Such a spec would have probably been considered top of the range a couple of years ago but the M4 is likely to be a strong mainstream candidate when it gets launched, probably towards the end of this quarter.
