Google Nexus 4 smartphone now available on £15.50 contracts

You can now pick up the LG Nexus 4 smartphone from Buymobilephones on T-Mobile and on contract for as little as £15.50 per month on a two year contract. That’s a total cost of ownership of £372, the handset itself, in comparison, costs £289.

As a reminder, the main selling point of such a contract is that it gives you the ability to stretch the payment of the phone over a period of time (two years rather than right now). As for the plan itself, you get 100 minutes, unlimited texts, 250MB data or 50 minutes, 250 texts and 1GB data.

The smartphone runs on a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8064 SoC clocked at 1.5GHz, with a 4.7in True HD IPS Plus display with a 1,280 x 768 pixel resolution, 2GB of RAM, 16GB onboard storage but no microSD slot.

Its launch, back in October 2012, triggered some pretty drastic price cuts (for the HTC One X and the LG Optimus 4X) and redefined the concept of mainstream Android handset.

Other features include an 8-megapixel camera, a 2,100mAh battery and an unskinned Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS. You can check our review of the LG Nexus 4 smartphone here.
