Lenovo IdeaPad S400 Core i3 laptop available from £300

Ebuyer sells the Lenovo IdeaPad S400 laptop from as little as £300 with free delivery. This device, which looks a lot like an Ultrabook, coms with an Intel Core i3-2365M processor. That’s a dual-core Sandy Bridge model clocked at 1.4GHz with 2MB cache.

Other features include 4GB of RAM, a 500GB hard disk drive, Windows 8, a 14in 1,366 x 768 pixel LED backlit display, Intel HD graphics, Dolby Advanced Audio, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, three USB ports, a HDMI one, HD webcam and a card reader.

The S400 - which was launched at IFA last year - weighs only 1.8Kg and is a mere 23mm thick as well which puts it just outside Ultrabook territory.

Lenovo also included a number of features like QuickStart which is an instant on function that allows the computer to connect to the web without waiting for Windows to boot, Veriface facial recognition, which is removes the need to type a password as the computer recognises your face and a OneKey rescue system which is a recovery solution.

The S400 comes with fairly large palm rests and an oversized touchpad with an AccuType keyboard. Lenovo says that the battery life on this device is likely to be around five hours.
