£399 Zoostorm laptop comes with Core i5, 16GB RAM, 1TB HDD

If you want a powerful laptop without the price tag, then do consider this Zoostorm Pink laptop, also known as the 7873-9045, and available from Ebuyer from £399. This notebook is one of the most impressive one we’ve seen on the market and is an evolution from one we saw in December 2012 which had a slower processor and costs a fraction more.

The 7873-9045 runs on an Intel Core i5-3230M processor clocked at 2.6GHz and turbo clocks at 3.2GHz with 3MB cache. Based on the Ivy Bridge architecture, it also features an Intel HD 4000 graphics subsystem plus an Intel HM76 chipset.

The rest of the specification includes a whopping 16GB DDR3 RAM, spread over two DIMM slots, a massive 1TB HDD spinning at 5400RPM, a DVD writer, a 15.6in 1,366 x 768 pixel display, GbE NIC, Wi-Fi, HD audio, a card reader, three USB ports (including two 3.0 models), VGA, HDMI and a thickness of 34mm.

Note that the drivers provided with the laptop are apparently not compatible with Windows 8 and speaking of operating system, bear in mind that this model doesn’t come with any which is great if you’re a Linux user.
