Head over to Argos’ eBay outlet to grab the Motorola XOOM tablet for only £200 plus delivery (note that it also includes 200 Nectar points). It is still very much a capable device especially once you look at the competition at that price point.
The Motorola XOOM comes with a dual Nvidia Tegra 2 SoC clocked at 1GHz with 1GB of RAM, 32GB onboard storage, a microSD card slot, a microUSB and HDMI connector, a front-facing camera, a 5-megapixel rear camera with HD video recording, a 10.1in 1,280 x 800 pixel display, Android 3.1 honeycomb, Wi-Fi, up to 10 hours battery life and much more.
You should be able to upgrade it to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sanwdich and there are numerous tweaking guides and resources online. One might wonder though why choose this model over, say the 32GB Google Nexus 7 tablet, available for roughly the same price.
This one comes with more connectors, has a bigger display, a rear camera and an expansion slot plus, given that it is a product being cleared, there’s a plethora of accessories on offer. The Motorola XOOM was superseded by the Motorola XOOM 2 and the XOOM 2 Media Edition.
