When we came across what some say is the first picture of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3, we couldn’t help but say, Google Nexus 10. Both appear to have a similar design with curves and rounded edges.
Greek website, Techblog, says that a pair of tablets, which will be called the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 and Galaxy Tab 3 8, will be launched imminently.
The bigger model is said to have the same screen size and the same resolution as its predecessor (10.1in, 1,280 x 800 pixels), which is a tad disappointing.
Ditto for the rest of the purported hardware (1GB of RAM, 16GB onboard storage, microSD card slot, 3-megapixel and 1.3-megapixel cameras) with the notable exception of the processor and the OS (a dual-core SoC clocked at 1.5GHz with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean).
Also on the spec sheet are 3G and 4G connectivity plus a 7,000mAh battery. The smaller Galaxy Tab 3 8 will have an 8in display with roughly the same hardware but with twice the amount of RAM (2GB) which possibly means that it will be more expensive.
Expect the 3G versions of the tablets to land in May with the 4G ones arriving in June or July.
