Could the picture above be that of the next top-of-the-range smartphone from Nokia, one that carries the codename Catwalk? That is a distinct possibility evoked by WPCentral. This picture and another one were posted by an anonymous user posted on popular Chinese social network website Sina Weibo.
Windows Phone Central independently confirmed that the smartphone on the picture was “indeed accurate” adding that it may come with an aluminium chassis.
No details were given about Catwalk but previous reports suggest that the smartphone will run Windows Phone 8 (not a surprise), with a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC clocked at 1.5GHz (possibly the MSM8960), a 4.5in display with a 1,280 x 720 pixel display (dubbed Octa), a 2,000mAh battery, an 8.7MP OIS camera with LED flash, along with a much thinner profile and lighter overall.
However, there are indications that Catwalk could instead slot between the Lumia 720 and the Lumia 820. It sports very similar features to the former Windows Phone 8 like a 3-dot layout that matches the wireless charging backplate on the Lumia 720 and a similar design.
