Lenovo Z570 quad-core laptop available from £530

The Lenovo Ideapad Z570 may be bulky and relatively unattractive but it remains a fantastic buy for anyone who is looking for a powerful laptop. It is currently on sale at Saveonlaptops for £530 and you can add a three-year collect and return warranty for £50.

It runs on an Intel Core i7-2670QM quad-core processor, clocked at 2.2GHz, based on Intel’s Sandy Bridge Architecture with 6MB L3 cache and capable of dynamically overclocking to 3.1GHz.

Other features include a 15.6in 1,366 x 768 pixel glossy display, Windows 7 Home Premium, 8GB of RAM, a 750GB hard disk drive, a DVD writer, a dedicated Nvidia GT540M video chip with 1GB dedicated memory, Wi-Fi, an Ethernet port, VGA & HDMI connectors, four USB ports (none of them USB 3.0), a webcam, eSATA port, up to five hours battery life and a weight of 2.5Kg.

Saveonlaptops also bundled Webroot Anti-Virus download and a BullGuard Internet security licence for 12 months for free.

Another equally powerful laptops include the MSI CX61 which costs around £600 but has more storage and a much faster GPU.
