Hannspree AD40UMMB 39in LED TV: Affordable at £260

Check out this Hannspree AD40UMMB television set from online retailer Misco which is currently on sale for £280 (down to £260 after a £20 manufacturer’s cashback valid until the end of the month).

Not only is this one of the cheapest full HD television sets we’ve seen with a display size bigger than 32in, it also boosts a rather appealing design with an ultrathin bezel. At 39in, it is slightly smaller than 40 or 42in models but also significantly cheaper.

Other notable features include a 3m:1 dynamic contrast ratio, a 270cd/m2 brightness, “24p True Cinema Technology”, a 8ms response time, a 50Hz refresh rate, built-in Ambient Light Sensor technology (which automatically adjust the brightness based on the room’s lightning), a Freeview tuner, VESA mounts, Personal Video Recorder capabilities with Time-Shifting features, support for Integrated Dolby Digital Plus and an integrated USB media player.

Connectivity options include three HDMI, USB, VGA, SCART and Component. There’s also two 8W speakers and the display consumes up to 95W in use and 500mW in standby. The Hannspree AD40UMMB comes with two years warranty and you can read a review of the television here. We gave it a seven out of 10 last year when it was £80 more expensive.
