27in AOC Monitor goes on sale for £165

Ebuyer is selling the AOC E2752V LCD monitor for a mere £164.50, a price that includes delivery. AOC is part of the world’s biggest manufacturer of monitors (as is Philips monitors), TPV Technology. The display has a massive diagonal, 27in or 686mm, and offers a full HD resolution at 1,920 x 1,080 pixels.

It has a contrast ratio of 1200:1 with a brightness of 300cd/m2 and a response time of 5ms. Customer reviews point to the fact that although it represents an excellent value for money, it has only a basic stand (although it offers a VESA mount), has no built in speakers and complicated picture adjustment (OSD).

There’s also the fact that it only has VGA and DVI-D inputs. We’d gladly swap the latter for a HDMI one. Also worth noting that it consumes 38W in use and comes with a massive three years warranty.

Other (more expensive) options include the Benq GW2750HM and the Hannspree HL272HPB both of which cost around £200.
