Less than five months after the launch of the Xperia Z smartphone, Sony's top of the range handset can be purchased on a two-year contract for as little as £26 per month on T-Mobile's new Full Monty (lite) plan, one that comes with 500 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited data.
The offer is available from AffordableMobiles and comes with an optional £55 cashback by redemption. The total cost of ownership without it is £624, which is around £150 more than the price of the handset on its own.
The device runs on a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8064 SoC clocked at 1.6GHz. This chipset is slower than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 that equips two of its rivals, the HTC One and the Samsung Galaxy S4.
It has a 5in 1,920 x 1,080 screen with Reality Display technology, a 13-megapixel camera with an Exmor RS sensor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB onboard storage, a microSD card slot, NFC, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and up to 14 hours battery life.
The Xperia Z also offers a unique feature amongst top-end Android smartphone. It is the only one that is water, dust and shock resistant. You can read our review of the Sony Xperia Z smartphone here.
