Did launch of Nokia Lumia 925 causes price of Lumia 920 to fall under £400?

Carphone Warehouse is selling the SIM Free version of the Nokia Lumia 920 Windows Phone 8 smartphone for a mere £399.95 and while that might seem a lot, it is a full 27 per cent discount off its recommended retail price.

And this is notable given that the Lumia 920 was only launched in the UK just six months ago. We suspect that the launch yesterday of the Lumia 925 is to be blamed for that drop in price.

The device runs on a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960 SoC clocked at 1.5GHz and with LTE capabilities. There's a 4.5in PureMotion HD+ display (1,280 x 768 pixel resolution) which Nokia claims is the brightest, clearest, most sensitive and fastest touchscreen.

Other features include NFC, 1GB of RAM, a one-piece polycarbonate body with touches of ceramic zirconium, 32GB onboard storage, an 8.7-meagpixel PureView camera with a Carl Zeiss Tessar lens, an f2.0 aperture, two LED flash and OIS, wireless charging capabilities, Nokia Here Drive, Nokia Here Transit, Nokia Mix Radio, City Lens and much more.
