Acer Aspire V5-571 laptop on sale for £299

The Acer Aspire V5 series is a regular occurrence on our Tech Deals Pro section and there's a good reason for that. Acer has always been keen to promote this great all-rounder laptop which is available for not a lot of dough. This particular model (a V5-571 available from £299 at Asda) confirms that.

Presented as a thin-and-light model by Acer, the manufacturer claims that it is 30 per cent slimmer and 10 per cent lighter than mot laptops. To cap things up, it comes with Windows 8 as well and can connect to the internet four times faster compared to a standard laptop.

Other features include a third-generation Intel Core i3-2365M processor clocked at 1.4GHz with two cores and an Intel HD 4000 graphics solution. There's also 6GB of RAM, a 500GB hard disk drive, a DVD writer, HDMi port, a 6-cell battery that can power the laptop for up to five hours, a bundled protective bag, a 15.6in 1,366 x 768 pixel Acer CineCrystal display, Wi-Fi, USB ports and a card reader plus an array of Acer software.

You can check out our review of the Acer Aspire V5-571 here. Note that it is a slightly different model, one with a Core i5, the rest of the configuration though remains similar.
