Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 to land on 10 July

Expansys has put the Galaxy Mega 6.3 which appears to be Samsung's mainstream version of the Galaxy Note 2, on preorder for £470 with an expected release date for the 10 July 2013, 47 days from now. Note that the device has also been put on preorder at Clove although that retailer hasn't yet said when it will launch (other than mentioning July as the release date).

The Galaxy Mega 6.3 comes with a 6.3in display (hence the name) and is 0.8in bigger than the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (and even bigger than Huawei's Ascend Mate which has a 6.1in display.

The rest of the technical details include a 1,280 x 720 pixel display, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB onboard storage, a dual-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz, a microSD card slot, a rear 8-megapixel camera and a front facing 2-megapixel one, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, Wi-Fi (including 802.11ac), Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, a 3,200mAh battery, a thickness of only 8mm and a weight of only 199g.

Unlike the Note family though, it doesn't have a stylus but does offer a host of features commonly found on recent Samsung devices like S Travel, S Translator, Samsung Link, Air View, S Planner, S Memo and Samsung WatchOn.
