Cheapest Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone discounted to £319

If you postponed the purchase of the Samsung Galaxy S3, waiting for its price to drop down, now may well be the time as Asda cut the price of this smartphone to £319, the cheapest we've found yet from a mainstream retailer (which means that there should be ample stocks around).

The handset is delivered for free and you get 25 per cent off all accessories purchased with this one. As for the phone itself, Samsung says that it was designed for humans, a reference to the number of services like S Beam, S Voice or SmartAlert that comes with the Galaxy S3.

As for the rest of the specification, the Galaxy S3 is still a fairly capable device. It runs on a quad-core Samsung Exynos 4412 SoC clocked at 1.5GHz, 1GB of RAM, a 4.8in 1,280 x 720 pixels Super AMOLED display, an 8-megapixel rear camera, full HD video capture, a 2-megapixel front facing one, 16GB onboard storage, a microSD card slot, up to 11 hours talk time and NFC.

Rivals to the Galaxy S3 include the Google Nexus 4, the LG Optimus 4X HD and the HTC One X. You can check a review of the Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone here.
