£320 AOC Q2963M 29in Ultrawide monitor: Not a bad price for an unusual form factor

You can get the AOC Q2963M from online retailer Dabs until the end of the month for a mere £320.30 thanks to a 10 per cent discount given buy the online retailer when you type in MEGA10a at check out.

The AOC Q2963M is one of the very rare monitors on the market that offer a 21:9 aspect ratio. This is what you usually get in a cinema (in cinemascope) and corresponds to what you'd see on the big screen.

Transposed to a business setup, the AOC Q2963M makes sense for those working on either very wide documents (i.e spreadsheets) or very long ones (content management systems).

The display has a native resolution of 2,560 x 1.080, a pixel pitch of 0.876mm, a 250cd/m^2 brightness, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, two display ports, HMDI, DVI-D and VGA inputs, four USB ports, a pair of speakers, up to three years warranty, a 5ms response time, a power consumption of 26W when on and 500mW when on standby.

Check out our recent hands-on preview of the Philips Brillance 298P4QJEB 29in monitor that also carries a 21:9 form factor. It is significantly more expensive though.
