Phones4U sells the Samsung Galaxy S4 on a 12-month contract from Vodafone for as little as £39 per month. There are four plans in all, all with varying monthly costs and all with an upfront fee.
The most enticing one is, unsurprisingly, the one that has the highest monthly fee. The Vodafone Red deal costs £52 per month with an upfront fee of £59, that's a total cost of ownership of £683; it includes unlimited minutes and texts as well as 2GB of data allowance, a free white Samsung case worth £29.95, all the internet you want for 3 months with Vodafone Data Test Drive as well as Free Samsung Hub content worth £60.
The Galaxy S4 comes with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 SoC clocked at 1.9GHz, 2GB of RAM, 16GB onboard storage, a 5in 1,920 x 1,080 pixel display, a microSD card slot, a 13-megapixel rear camera, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and more.
Given that the phone costs around £500 by itself, this translates into a monthly cost of £15 per month, which is more than decent for such a smartphone. You can read our review of the Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone here plus reviews of the HTC One and the Sony Xperia Z, two of its most potent rivals.
