Sony PS Vita 3G gaming console down to £170 with two great freebies

Head over to Argos if you want to buy a 3G version of the PS Vita. Sony's flagship portable gaming console is currently on sale for a mere £170, that's a £60 saving, that's a 26 per cent discount off the suggested retail price. What's more, Argos is also giving away a free game (Little Big Planet) and a free 4GB PS Vita memory card, both of which are worth a combined £29.98.

The gaming console was launched more than one year ago and comes with some cracking hardware. There's a quad-core Cortex-A9 SoC with a I.T PowerVR SGX543MP4+ GPU, two cameras, dual analogue sticks, a touch sensitive panel at the rear, 3G functionality (a Vodafone 3G PAYG SIM card is included), a 5in OLED display with a 960 x 540 resolution, Wi-Fi and even GPS.

Argos has had it at this price for a while both instore and for home delivery which leads us to believe that this is not a clearance but more of a deliberate attempt to drive down price. Note that Amazon is also selling the 3G PS Vita for the same price but without the free game or the card. You can check out our review of the Sony PS Vita gaming console here.
