Nokia Lumia 820 Windows Phone 8 smartphones on offer from £13 per month

You can now buy a Nokia Lumia 820 smartphone for as little as £13 per month on a two-year contract with Vodafone. The total cost of ownership stands at £312 which is not much more than the cost of the handset SIM free.

And since this handset is on sale at Carphone Warehouse, it is more than likely that customers will end up with a SIM Free version anyway. The tariff includes 100 minutes, unlimited texts, 100MB data, 250MB Wi-Fi with BT Openzone and, for the first three months, unlimited data allowance on Vodafone's Test Drive.

The Lumia 820 is a cut-down version of the Lumia 920. It still comes with a comparable hardware including a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960 SoC clocked at 1.5GHz and offering 4G capabilities.

There's also 1GB of RAM, a microSD card slot, 16GB onboard storage, a 4.3in 1,280 x 720 ClearBlack display that you can use with gloves, an 8-megapixel rear camera with Carl Zeiss lens and wireless charging capabilities.

Nokia included a free wireless music receiver worth £49 plus a number of Nokia-only apps like City Lens, Drive, Maps, Mix radio and more. You can read our review of the Nokia Lumia 820 smartphone here.
