Samsung Galaxy tablet and smartphone bundle goes on sale for £13 per month

While some like Asus prefer to have a smartphone that doubles as a tablet (Asus Padfone), others prefer to offer smartphone and tablet bundles. After Three (with an Alcatel One Touch bundle), Vodafone is offering the Samsung Galaxy Ace smartphone and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 tablet on a £13 monthly contract at Carphone Warehouse.

The total cost of ownership of this offer is £312 over two years, which not only includes both devices but also 100 minutes, unlimited texts, 100MB data, 250MB Wi-Fi via BT Openzone and unlimited data allowance for three months courtesy of Vodafone's Data Drive.

It's worth bearing in mind that you won't be able to use the Galaxy Ace to tether with the Galaxy Tab 2 tablet. The smartphone is firmly anchored in the entry-level segment with Android 2.2 Froyo, a slow single-core Qualcomm processor, a 5-megapixel camera, 278MB of RAM, a microSD card reader (plus a free 2GB card), 158MB onboard storage, a 3.2in 480 x 320 pixels display and a battery life of 6.5 hours.
