Virtual Application Patterns

Following on from the introduction to PureSystems Application Patterns, in this second video IBM Cloud Technical Consultant, Tony Barker, shows how PureSystems Virtual Application Patterns operate through the IBM PureApplication System console.

These don't require you to specify middleware, but instead bring together Eclipse-based plugins that allow you to create a pattern by configuring a few parameters and policies, before deploying into the cloud. This can take a matter of minutes, after which the application will be ready to use. You can also apply emergency fixes to already deployed patterns without having to redeploy from scratch.

However, if you want greater control over exactly what is included in your patterns, you will need Virtual System Patterns, which we will be looking at in our next video.
