Cheapest Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone now costs £450

You can now get the 3G version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone from popular eBay retailer e_cell for a mere £450, a price that includes 450 Nectar points and free delivery. The handset is brand new, comes with accessories and a full one-year warranty.

This particular model is not officially on sale in the UK (but Samsung will nonetheless honour the warranty). It has an octa-core SoC, the Samsung Exynos Octa which runs four Cortex-A15 cores and four Cortex-A7 cores at 1.6GHz and 1.2GHz respectively in a big.LITTLE configuration.

The rest of the specification is similar to the existing Qualcomm-based model. There's 2GB of RAM, 16GB onboard storage, a 5in 1,920 x 1,080 pixel display, a 13-megapixel camera with a 2-megapixel front facing one, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, a microSD card slot, a 2,600mAh battery and a slew of other Samsung features like S Alert or Smart Stay.

The Galaxy S4 was announced in March and went on sale in April. It carries a suggested retail price of around £600 at launch. You can check out our review of the Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone here.
