Dell Inspiron 17r 16GB workstation laptop on sale for £600

Check out the Dell Inspiron 17r from popular eBay retailer thechef01 if you are after a mobile workstation. At £600 including delivery and 600 Nectar points, it is cheaper than buying from Dell Direct. Note that this is a brand new model that comes with all accessories as well as a one-year warranty.

This particular version comes with a Core i5 processor from Intel, a third-generation model that has two cores and is clocked at up to 3.1GHz with 3MB cache.

It has 16GB of RAM, Windows 8, an Nvidia Geforce GT630M graphics chip with 1GB of RAM, a 1TB hard disk drive, a 17.3in display with a 1,600 x 900 pixel resolution, Wi-Fi, a DVD drive, a 6-cell 48Whr battery, one year next day in-home service, 15-months subscription to McAfee SecurityCenter, four USB ports, VGA/HDMI and a card reader.

As expected, it is not the lightest and thinnest laptop around; it is a whopping 32mm thick and weighs more than 3Kg. Check out our review of the Dell Inspiron 17 laptop.
