eBay retailer e_cell is selling the LG Optimux 4X HD (otherwise known as the P880) for only £225, a price that includes delivery and 225 Nectar points. So let's reiterate. This is a quad-core smartphone that costs under £225, less than half its original selling price.
The Optimus 4X HD is more than a year old now and competed, back in the days, with the HTC One X and the Samsung Galaxy S3, with the latter being ultimately the big winner of the quad-core wars.
Just like its competitors, this one runs on a quad-core SoC, an Nvidia Tegra 3 clocked at 1.5GHz to be more precise. There's also 1GB of RAM, 16GB onboard storage, a microSD card slot, a 4.7in 1,280 x 720 pixel True HD IPS display, a front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera, an 8-megapixel rear one, Android 4.0 ICS (upgradable to Jelly bean), microUSB, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, a 2,150mAh battery but alas, no 4G.
This LG smartphone is by far the cheapest quad-core smartphone on the market, undercutting the price of another illustrious LG handset, the 16GB Nexus 4 by a staggering 22 per cent. You can check out our review of the LG Optimus 4X HD here.
