Samsung's product specification lab, it seems, is having a good time lately as it pushed out smartphones (not so much tablets) at an ever increasing rate. Expansys is selling the Galaxy Grand Duos, one of its more recent handsets for £290. Note that you can get the single SIM version (Galaxy Grand i9082) from eBay's e_cell for £250.
The unique selling point of this device is the fact that it is a dual-SIM model (although we're not sure whether it will take two 3G SIM cards or like most dual-SIM models, have one SIM slot limited to 2G only).
The technical details of the smartphones are as follows; Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, a 5in 800 x 480 pixel display, 1GB of RAM, 8GB onboard storage, a microSD card slot, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a front-facing 2-megapixel one, Bluetooth 4.0, a 2,100mAh battery, GPS, a dual-core SoC clocked at 1.2GHz, a thickness of 10mm and a weight of only 162g.
You will be able to enjoy contemporary features like the ability to multitask running multiple apps simultaneously without switching screens and using the Multi Window feature.
It goes without saying that if you don't need a dual-SIM smartphone, you may just as well stick with the more expensive but more powerful Galaxy S3.
