Deal: Asus K55A laptop with 1TB hard disk drive down to £240

Meet the Asus K55A laptop, a regular appearance on Tech Deals Pro and one which costs £239.94 on Argos' outlet on eBay. It comes with free delivery and 236 Nectar points as well.

Its specification leaves us to believe that this is a very capable laptop despite its surprisingly low price tag. It comes with a dual-core Intel Celeron processor, the B815, which is clocked at 1.8GHz and has 1MB of cache.

There's 6GB of DDR3 RAM, a 1TB hard disk drive (that's worth £45 by itself), a DVD writer, a 15.6in 1,366 x 768 pixel display, Intel GMA graphics solution, a card reader, three USB ports, an Ethernet connector, HDMI port (but no VGA), Bluetooth, a webcam and Windows 8 (a good OS, whatever its critics say).

The K55A adopted Asus' new thin-and-light chassis strategy with an enclosure that's a mere 25.5mm thickness. It weighs 3.2Kg though (apparently) and we loved the fact that it has a dedicated numeric keypad. Note that this unit is a refurbished model, one that comes with a one year warranty.
