Deal: £209 Samsung XE303 Chromebook

Tesco direct is selling the Samsung XE303 Chromebook device for a mere £209 after a £20 discount when you enter the voucher code TDX-KQ9V at checkout. The voucher code is valid until 26 June and the laptop comes with free delivery.

Samsung, unlike other Chromebook manufacturers (Acer, HP, Lenovo), chose to stick with ARM and used one of its own products, the dual-core Exynox-5250, which is based on the Cortex-A15 and clocked at 1.7GHz, to power this device.

Other features include an 11.6in 1,366 x 768 pixel display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB onboard storage, Google Chrome OS, Wi-Fi, a webcam, up to 10 hours battery life and a weight of 1.1Kg. Other than its multi-touch touchpad and an island-style keyboard, there's two USB ports, a HDMI one, a card reader and two speakers.

Note that buying this device will also give you a whopping 100GB worth of Google Cloud storage for two years (after which you will have to buy the storage or risk losing it).

Of course what makes this device so special is that it runs on Chrome OS which means that unless you understand the idiosyncracies and what to expect from such a device, we'd suggest that you approach it with caution.
