Deal: Cheapest Microsoft Office Home and Business 2013 costs £178.95

The best deal on Microsoft's Office Home and Business application suite costs £178.95 from Amazon and Ebuyer. Note that you do not actually get the software disk but merely a product key (a sticker), something that has caused a lot of confusion in the market as well as anger because of some restrictions related to the terms and conditions of use.

Amazon is giving £1 MP3 credit to try at its MP3 download store while you can also get a copy of Norton 360 2013 (single user, three PCs) for £24.99 when you enter the voucher code, NRTN2013, at checkout. Unlike the "365" series, this is the real deal in that you do not need to renew any subscription.

This means that unless Microsoft cancels the license, the latter is perpetual and eternal. You can activate it on a new or different computer as many times as needed but not more than once every 90 days. The package includes Outlook 2013, Word 2013, Excel 2013, PowerPoint 2013, OneNote 2013.

On the whole, it is an excellent price for a useful piece of kit. For all the promises delivered by Libre Office and cloud-based business applications, Office 2013 remains, on the whole, a useful tool for businesses.
