Cheapest Netbook in the UK: £113.94 MSI U180

Netbooks are well and truly on their way out, which explains why their prices is going out and why we've seen an increasing number of notebooks on eBay lately. Argos is selling the MSI U180 on its eBay outlet for a mere £113.93 including 110 Nectar points and free delivery.

This is not actually a bad product for what you're forking out. You get a dual-core Intel Atom processor, the N2600, which is clocked at 1.6GHz, 1GB of RAM, a 320GB hard disk drive, a 10.1in 1,024 x 600 pixel display, an Intel GMA 3600 graphics sub-system with 256MB of RAM, a card reader, two USB ports with an Ethernet connector, HDMI ports, a webcam and Windows 7 Starter.

The U180 – which is available in white and black - is expected to last up to four hours on full charge, weighs 1.1Kg and is 21.3mm thick. This is a refurbished model, which means that it is not new but comes with a full one year warranty direct from Argos.

Laptops in general are suffering some serious competition from the growth of tablets and the rise of ARM-based solution which provide with a compelling alternative to netbooks.
