Deal: £200 Acer Aspire V5 Ultrabook-like laptop

Acer claims that the Aspire V5 laptop, its thin-and-light model, is 30 per cent thinner and 10 per cent lighter than a standard laptop. And looking at the design, it is very much likely to be the case.

Argos sells the Acer Aspire V5 via its eBay outlet for £202.94, a price that includes 200 Nectar points and delivery. Unlike other models at this price, this laptop comes with a dual-core Intel Pentium B967, which is faster than its Celeron counterparts at 2.2GHz.

It comes with 4GB of RAM, a 320GB hard disk drive, an island style keyboard, Acer Instant Connect which can connect the user to the internet in just 2.5 seconds, a dedicated numeric keypad, a 15.6in 1,366 x 768 pixel display, an optical drive, an Intel HD Graphics card, a card reader, a webcam, Bluetooth, Windows 7 Home Premium and up to four hours battery life. At just 2.3Kg, it is just slightly weightier than the heaviest Ultrabooks on the market. Note that, like most Argos laptops sold on eBay, this model is a refurbished one that comes with a full year's warranty. Check out our review of the Acer Aspire V5 laptop here.
