Panda Security has released a new version of the Panda Cloud Systems Management solution, which allows remote access to and monitoring of all types of IT devices in an organisation.
Among the new features are the inclusion of a ticketing system, which lets end users request remote support, and the ability for administrators to create and organise workloads for technicians, as well as assign priorities for different jobs.
Perhaps the biggest enhancement is complete remote control of computers, whether they are turned on or not. This gives IT administrators important information about the status of all devices on their network. It can also help with cost-cutting, as devices no longer need to be powered on to be monitored.
Panda will soon be adding another major feature: the ability to list all installations across an organisation, which will help with the creation of blacklists, whitelists, and goldlists to ensure certain software is or is not installed, depending on a company's requirements.
With a growing number of mobile devices being employed by businesses, Panda also plans to introduce support for iOS, Android and BlackBerry OS. IT administrators will be able to audit, geotag and remotely manage devices powered by these platforms.
Prior to refreshing its Cloud Systems Management package, Panda updated its Cloud Antivirus offering with a slew of new features that enhance security and give users more control over the use of their computers.
