You can now preorder Samsung's just announced Galaxy S4 Zoom smartphone (or camera phone) for £33 per month on a two year contract. That's a total cost of ownership of £792, which is likely to be twice the cost of the smartphone on SIM-free. The plan is on Vodafone and includes, 600 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB data (plus 2GB data allowance on BT Openzone Wi-Fi).
Don't forget S4 specification for the price though. Indeed, the S4 Zoom only shares the features and some design elements with Samsung's top of the range handset. The hardware itself is closer to the Samsung Galaxy S2 rocket (and the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini).
The spec sheet includes a 4.3in AMOLED display with a 960 x 540 pixel resolution, a dual-core SoC clocked at 1.5GHz, 1GB of RAM, a microSD card reader, 16GB onboard storage, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and much more.
As for the camera itself, it is a 16-megapixel model with a 10x zoom, a Xenon flash and a BSI sensor. The phone is expected to be delivered on 9 July and SIM-free prices have yet to be unveiled. The device was unveiled last week at Samsung's event in London and you can check out our hands-on of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom here.
