Carphone Warehouse has cut the price of the SIM Free version of the Nokia Lumia 920 Windows Phone 8 smartphone to a mere £369.95, that's almost £130 less than the original suggested selling price of the device. Interestingly, the Lumia 925, which is kind of a variant, has gone on preorder for £465 but we find it hard to justify the price difference between the two.
The 920 remains the top-of-the-range smartphone for Nokia with the Windows Phone 8 range stretching all the way back to the cheap-and-cheerful, sub-£100 Nokia Lumia 520. The Lumia 920 has a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC clocked at 1.5GHz with LTE capabilities.
There's also a 4.5in PureMotion HD+ (that's 1,280 x 768 pixels) which Nokia says is the brightest, clearest and fastest touchscreen, super solid Ceramic Zirconium parts, an 8-megapixel PureView camera with Carl Zeiss Tessar lens, an f2.0 aperture, dual LED flash, 1GB of RAM, 32GB onboard storage, wireless charging capabilities and a number of exclusive applications.
