IBM and Wimbledon: the wealth of digital content at the 2013 Championships

IBM's involvement with Wimbledon has a strong focus on digital content delivery, and this year the highly regarded website is joined by an all-new iPad app.

In this video, Andy Burns, Wimbledon Web Producer for IBM Interactive, and Alex Willis, Editorial Content Manager for the All England Lawn Tennis Club, explain the strategy behind the multi-platform digital provisions for the Wimbledon tournament. The rich content of the main website is complemented by the more lightweight mobile site.

There's an Android app that adapts well to tablets, but the star of 2013 is the iPad app. Packed with engaging interactive content, the iPad service brings the experience of Wimbledon alive for anyone unable to attend the event in person.

It also supplies the same level of live match data that has made IBM's Wimbledon services so rewarding for fans, whether they are lucky enough to be watching a match on court, sitting at home on the sofa, or keeping up to date with the latest scores on the move via their smartphones.
